Lately I have had a few members asking if they could submit some fanart to our gallery. As this is not a part of our club, I have said no. But this has got me thinking, maybe we could introduce this to our club, but then again it could result as our gallery being overwhelmed with pictures. It would also make our competition prizes less ‘special’.
So…this has in turn got me thinking and has left me with the following thoughts:

Competitions and Competition prizes:
First off, I think our prizes may seem boring and we need a new incentive to get members to participate, but I don’t want any of us admin to fork out money and buy subscriptions every month. SO…I am going to introduce an end-of-year ‘draw’, where the member who enters the most competitions wins a three month subscription (paid by me, or any one who wishes to donate etc…most likely paid by me!). In the case of a draw, it will go to the person out of the people who drew who won the most. In the case of yet another draw (which is possible!), a staff and member vote will be held.
I will send you all of the final details as soon as I sort them out…any improvements or questions you can think of so far?
Also, I was thinking of giving the featured member a special job or something, like they get to choose the theme of the next competition or something….I dunno, just something to make the ‘featured member’ more…special? lol.
I’m not saying that this will all happen, but I’m just throwing ideas out on to the table.
If you have any more ideas or agree with these two, please say.

Gallery Submissions:
Ok, instead of allowing any member to submit work to our gallery, we might be able to allow six members maximum, post a link to one of their pieces in a special journal that we set up.
This way our gallery can still remain a special part of our competition prizes. (I saw this in another club but I cannot remember the name of it)

~How are the six submissions selected? (This selection wasn’t in the other club’s journal; they put HEAPS of links in there…)
Any member and any amount of members may send us a note with a link to the picture they would like to submit. We would go through the submissions on the first weekend of every month and select three pictures each that will be submitted into the journal.

Once again, if you agree/have any other ideas etc please say.

Other notes:
~Please remember to add any new affiliations to our affiliates journal when they join. I have noticed that the watch list has more than the journal so I will go through and even it all up when I have the time…which should be soon
~I will have more access to the internet very soon as my mum is also installing the internet at her house. Now you won’t be left without my contact for periods of time as long as two weeks!
~I have almost finished your staff profile (I keep forgetting that I’m actually doing it …but all I need is for you to choose/draw a preview picture and to finish off the small part you were typing about your deviantART participation/history. Please note it to my CM account asap.

Ok, I don’t have too much to say apart from these few brief dot points:

~ As soon as you finish a picture, please note me or email it to the afc or afc staff email.
~There are no deadlines as to when I need them, but it would be nice to get them within a month that the competition finishes.

2) Now you know how the joined competition with digimon-club went down the drain because no-one from their side participated? Well, I was thinking that maybe we could give the same idea another try with a different type of club- one like ours who supports a range of anime series compared to just one.
So…start advertising for another anime fan club to join in a competition with us, and come up with a list of possible candidates. Remember to check out the club briefly and see how active the members are etc. We will work out all of the details (prizes, themes, the club we will choose etc etc) if and when we find a club or two interested.

3) I have re-formatted the competition journal, so it is easier to read and contains more useful information. I will send a copy of it to your DeviantART account. So that I know when to send it to you, please note me asap.

4) And for my final note…this is really important! Please make sure that all entries for any competition include the member’s claimed character/s. The entry is invalid and should be disqualified. There must also be no yaoi or yuri (soft or hardcore).
These rules MUST be adhered to. I am revising and updating the rules in the main journal and I will include all competition rules in the new version of the competition journal.
Please, please, please make sure al entries are checked before being judged.

AFC are looking for someone to become our ‘featured Member Writer’. As a part of your job, you will do the following:
